Life together, discussed over a strong latte.

Alright, guys - we're heading to Atlanta for Promise Keepers this Friday & Saturday. Weather looks great - both days in the mid-80s. I'm looking forward to hearing thousands of men singing together, watching teenagers see something new and humble in their dads, listening to all the speakers, and just hanging out together. Pray as we go (and for those not going, pray harder!) that we'll be open to an UPRISING inside, and that meaningful change in us will bring about real transformation for the culture around us back home.
CWO is going to be involved with service at Daughter of Zion Church in Eastover this weekend. There are services Friday night, Saturday and Sunday night. We'll be sharing and leading in worship and various seminars/conferences all weekend. Because of the time and coordinated effort needed, Thursday night services for 07/22 have been cancelled. Pastor Mike is leaving Callingpost messages, and we're looking forward to seeing everyone in Eastover as we worship together.
Pastor Mike is leading us in the month of July 2004 in a series of sermons and discussion and town-hall-like forums on Reclaiming America. As Christians, we can make a difference in our voting and our civic participation. Remembering that fact by looking back to the country's founding fathers is important, and engaging the political and social systems of our country as kingdom-minded people is a necessary part of being a Christian in USAmerica today. Join us each Sunday and Thursday - and be sure to pick up the fliers and print material in the lobby to read and educate our familes at home, too.
Hopefully we'll have the new & improved church website online: CWOCHURCH.com. I've still got to do some transfer control from the old server to the new one at GoDaddy.com - but we're saving big bucks on this right now, and I hope it'll be a little more sustainable, too. Also, perhaps we can incorporate the JavaBeans blog into the main page... hmmmm?
Well, on the website front: the CWO website is down for repairs. I'm looking for a new and cheaper service provider, so if you've got any suggestions, feel free to email me. In the meantime, I'll post upcoming stuff here, trying to keep everyone up-to-date as to what's going on as we seek to follow Christ in this community together.
